Weissbräu Schwendl is one of the smallest wheat beer breweries in the Chiemgau region. But in terms of quality, it is one of the greats - seventeen European Beer Star Awards prove it. Six each for "Schalchner Weisser Bock" (South German-Style Weizenbock Dunkel) and for Light, Light Amber Wheat; five for "Schalchner 5-Korn" (Beer with Alternative Cereals).
At home, Anton is called "Done," and so he calls his more unusual beers "Don Impala" (Cold-Hopped Wheat Bock) and "Don Hamilia" (IPA).
